Annual Meeting: The Wisconsin Junior Angus Association (WJAA) will host their annual meeting on Saturday, January 23rd at 1:30 p.m. at the Cranberry Country Lodge in Tomah, WI. This meeting is open to all Juniors interested in the Angus breed. Please plan to join us as we conduct our annual meeting, elect directors, recognize our juniors and have fun. If you would like to run for the Board, please contact me. Not a member yet, no problem. Come join us on January 23. Dues are $5 per year or $15 lifetime. WJAA is currently accepting ideas for editorial content in the 2010 directory. Please bring your photos, feature articles or ideas for the cover on January 23rd or forward to K. Retallick, P.O. Box 24, Lancaster, WI 53813 or e-mail by February 1st. If you would like the photo to be returned, please send a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the photo. See you on the 23rd!
Directory: WJAA is now accepting advertisements for the 2010 directory. This one-of-a-kind Wisconsin Angus directory highlights the state’s Angus activities, promotes the Angus breed and provides a marketing avenue for today’s breeders. Once again, the Midwest Herdsman and Johnson Lithograph will work with us to produce the directory and we thank them for their service.

Advertisers - Please note ads set by the Midwest Herdsman will receive one free proof. Multiple proofs are subject to a $45 per hour fee that will be billed directly to the advertiser by the Midwest Herdsman.
Don’t forget – early copy deadline is February 1st. All ads postmarked and paid by February 1st are eligible for a $25 discount. Camera ready ads receive an additional $25 discount. In addition, premium pages receive first-rate placement and quality web site advertising on the WAA web site!
All ads, payment and editorial copy must be received by February 10th. The 2010 Wisconsin Angus Directory will be available at the state sale on March 21.

Junior Bronze & Silver Pins Presented to Kelli Retalllick
Kelli Retallick, Glen Haven, has earned the National Junior Angus Association's Bronze and Silver Awards.
A NJAA member since 2000, Kelli is also active in the Wisconsin Junior Angus Association, She has attended two national Leaders Engaged in Angus Development Conferences, and has entered the NJAA team sales, team fitting, judging, quiz bowl and All-American Certified Angus Beef® Cook-off contests at the National Junior Angus Show. She has shown her Angus cattle and competed in showmanship at shows on the local, state, regional and national levels. Kelli has conducted on the farm performance bull tests and consigned cattle with 2K Cattle Enterprises Performance-Tested Bull & Female Sale. The 17-year-old daughter of Kevin and Keri Retallick attends Cassville High School. The Bronze and Silver Awards are the first two levels of the NJAA Recognition Program that began in 1972.

Hi, my name is Kelsey Konkol, and I am the 2009 Miss Wisconsin Angus Queen, I am very excited to serve as your queen this year, and can’t wait to participate in the Angus shows, sales and events that will be taking place throughout the year.
